Care for the
Caregiver.
Offer practical guidance and a trusted space for parents and caregivers.
PROPOSED CAMPAIGN · NOT YET LAUNCHEDWhy this fits.
A child’s support network includes the people caring for them each day. Start by asking those caregivers what would be useful.
Start with a manageable pilot.
Pilot three facilitated sessions through a supported school, with topics chosen by caregivers and appropriate specialist involvement.
A practical way to begin.
Ask what would help
Invite caregivers to identify practical concerns and preferred meeting arrangements.
Bring the right expertise
Use qualified facilitators for relevant topics, professional referrals and signposting to services.
Create a useful follow-up
Share appropriate resources and gather feedback. Consider further sessions only after reviewing demand and benefit.
The right people around the table.
School teams, qualified counsellors or rehabilitation professionals, and relevant local support organisations.
What to track.
Participation, usefulness reported by caregivers, resource uptake and follow-up needs. Attendance is not a measure of clinical improvement.
What approval needs.
A named delivery partner, a locally assessed need, an agreed scope, a costed budget, a responsible owner and a reporting plan. Suggested durations are planning options, not announced commitments.
A proposed extension of the existing school-support focus; no clinical service or ongoing caregiver programme is claimed.
