Barrier-Free
Schools.
Make a supported school easier to enter, move through and learn in.
Our education priority supports schools serving children with disabilities and children from economically disadvantaged families.
Waldies provides funding support to schools that educate and care for children whose opportunities can be limited by disability or financial hardship.
Our next steps are to build on those relationships: remove practical access barriers and support continuity through the school year. Individual campaign proposals remain subject to approval.
Families mark a child’s height on the wall as they grow. We think about school the same way. We support children with disabilities and children from low-income families with their school requirements, so that learning carries on from one class to the next.
Two campaign ideas built around the schools Waldies already supports.
Make a supported school easier to enter, move through and learn in.
Plan a year of practical learning support around the needs a school identifies.
